Amery Ice Shelf Loose Tooth Monitoring 2005-2006
There is an Adelie penguin rookery on an island near Davis. We hiked there one evening and saw several hundred penguins on the hillsides. They are curious and will waddle right on up to you if you stop, get down low and stay still. They go back and forth between waddling across the ice and sliding along on their bellies.
