Amery Ice Shelf Loose Tooth Monitoring 2005-2006
Several of us took an afternoon off to hike out to Anchorage Island, which has spectacular views of the area. We had to strap chains to our boots to keep from slipping on the ice! You can see most of Davis station in the background, it looks like a bunch of enormous, brightly colored shipping containers.
