Amery Ice Shelf Loose Tooth Monitoring 2005-2006
This was our first camp, at a location called G2A. The red, blue and yellow tent was our equipment shed, the white tent was our kitchen, and we each had a "polar pyramid" tent as a bedroom. The only animals we saw were the occasional bird that would fly past - large seagulls called skuas, and smaller Wilson's storm petrels. They were a rare and welcome sight.
