Introduction
This is a 10 hour, 5 week course taught one-on-one or in a small group (2-5 people) that is an introduction to the Adobe InDesign application. In the course we will cover the fundamentals of designing rich documents, including books, pamphlets, and posters.
The course is divided into sections based on introducing the powerful tools within the application. You will be assigned homework each week and are expected to have it ready for discussion at the start of the following weeks lesson.
The course is split into the following sections:
- WEEK 1: Introduction to the tools and pallets, grouping/ungrouping, applying stoke and fill, bring-to-front/send-to-back
- WEEK 2: Preferences,layers,guides,text-flow
- WEEK 3: Master pages
- WEEK 4: Styles
- WEEK 5: Getting ready for print/press
