The Anza group at the University of California San Diego, Gary Pavlis at Indiana University and Fundación Venezolana de Investigaciones Sismológicas (FUNVISIS) operate a broadband seismograph network consisting of 83 three component broadband seismograph stations (PASSCAL, OBS and FUNVISIS) centered in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela (see map).

On Thursday, December 2nd, 2004 at 11:16 AM (PST) we recorded a quake (preliminary mb 5.4) located near Port-of-Spain.

If you felt the quake, the USGS would like to know. Please add to the USGS "Did you feel it?" page.
