The Anza group at the University of California San Diego operates a broadband seismograph network consisting of 17 three component broadband seismograph stations centered near Anza, California (see map).

On Wednesday October 7 2009 at 2:41 PM (PDT) we recorded an earthquake (preliminary Mw 6.7) located in the Celebes Sea in the Philippines.

Important Note: The waveforms generated by this event have their coda interfered by the larger magnitude Mw 7.6 event in Vanuatu that occurred approximately 20 minutes after this event.
